Title
Moss, botanical illustration for use in Alaska Brown Bear Group, Hall of North American Mammals
Description
This item contains illustrations of three different kinds of moss. Trailing moss, which is low to the ground but stands up very straight, is shown in the upper left corner as thick, erect, leafy stalks. Taller moss is illustrated along the right side of the item as tall, spindly stalks supporting needle-like leaves. A series of round moss patches in various shades of green are illustrated on the bottom left side. These paintings were done on a sheet of paper from a bound notebook. Small holes produced by the spiral bindings of such notebooks line the left edge of the paper. Alaska Brown Bear.
