Description
This woman was a principal wife of the Mayogo chief Abiembali; her elaborate headdress denotes her rank. She wears an undercap made from hundreds of dogs' teeth, a basketry hat topped with red tail feathers of the gray parrot, an ivory hairpin, and a hairpin made from a monkey bone.
