From Anthropology data: Taken half a mile west of the Esquimalt and Nanaimo Railroad Bridge on the Songish Reserve at Victoria. Looking westward along the beach at low tide showing the westward end or base of the totem pole shown in No. 45997 In the foreground there is a Songish canoe such as is used for river navigation. Spirea growing on the bluff is shown in No. 46000.
