Description
From Anthropology Scrapbook: Looking westward from in front of the house shown in No. 46087 and showing the same two boxes seen in that picture. The front of the pagan Bella Coola village. Note the adze marks on the boards on the top of the nearest house. The pole shown is for sale. The ear is white, pale pink and black. The picture of the head on the ear has black eye and brow blue chin, nose and jaw are blue and the rest is white. The big face has black eyebrow and black eyes, a white face and yellowish lips. The animal figure painted behind the jaw is yellow. On the part below this face are blue and yellow circles. The eagle's feathers are blue and yellow, the eagle's beak is yellow. The colors on the part of the pole below this are blue, yellow white and black. The arms and legs of the bear are black, the nose is yellow and the ear rim blue.
