Zande musicians, Manziga's village, near Niangara
Description
The xylophone (manza) player here uses four mallets. Sitting on a stool, he braces the instrument with his legs to support it. The large slit drum is played by two musicians, one of whom sits atop the instrument and covers the slit with his leg to mute the sound.
