Title
Pot, ceramic and plant fiber, Meje people of Africa
Description
This pot, beautifully covered in basketry, was used for storing the black oil with which the Mangbetu adorned their bodies. "They say they weave these pots over because it looks pretty," Lang commented. The woven surface also helped prevent the pot from slipping.
