Expedition group and local community at the church in Faradje
Description
Christian missionaries were established in the region mainly after the Belgian government began rule of the Congo in 1908. Then, and now, missionaries attempted to change the Africans' beliefs and customs. Lang photographed this chapel at Faradje with the priests, some members of the congregation, and Mr. Chapin in front.
